Get things for free online

The economy is taking a turn for the worst at the moment, with governments bailing out banks, companies running out of credit, people getting fired, it is misery all around. Luckily you can use the internet to get some things for free. And free is always good. I have compiled a short list of some sites where you can really get some things for free or cheaper.

At Get Things Free there is a free give away of one item per month. All you have to do to win is sign up for their newsletter, rss feed or post a link to them. There are also posting about other free giveaways or discounts.

I Love Free Things has a daily updated list of offers where you can get things for free. All offers are categorized by different subjects like food, clothing, contests, etc. There is also a newsletter available for US residents.

GetFreeThings.net works the same way as I Love Free Things. They have their offers categorized and they also have a newsletter to keep you updated on the latest free offers.

FreeCycle offers a whole different service. The idea behind FreeCycle is to keep the landfills more empty by people offering things they no longer want or use for free to other people in their area instead of just throwing them away. You can zoom in on your area and see what free things are on offer there. You need to sign up to your area, but membership is free.

And there is SmartSource. They call themselves the number 1 grocery coupon site on the internet. So they don’t offer free things, but coupons you print out to get discount on your grocery shopping. All you need to do is download and install a small piece of software and you can start printing out your coupons and start saving!
